This Privacy Policy explains how OLibrary ("we", "our", "the App") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile application and related services.

1) Information We Collect

• Account & profile: name, email, user/profile identifiers, subscription status.
• Library & reading: books you add, watchlist, reading status, current page, reading logs, goals and stats.
• Loans (optional): borrower name, dates, and notes if you use the lending feature.
• Device: device information needed to operate the service and a push token (if notifications are enabled).

2) Permissions

We request permissions only when you use the related feature:

• Camera: scan ISBN barcodes / QR codes.
• Photos: choose a profile image (if available).
• Contacts: select a person when recording a loan (if you use this feature).

3) How We Use Information

• Provide core app functionality (authentication, profiles, library management).
• Show progress, goals, and reading statistics.
• Enable barcode scanning and search results.
• Deliver in-app and push notifications based on your preferences.
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot.
• Improve performance and user experience.

4) Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:

• With service providers required to operate the App (e.g., push delivery providers).
• To comply with legal obligations or protect rights and safety.
• As part of a business transfer (e.g., merger/acquisition).

5) Push Notifications

If you enable notifications, we store your preferences and a device push token to deliver messages. You can turn them off anytime in the App or in your device settings.

6) Data Retention

We retain data as long as needed to provide the App and comply with legal obligations. You can request deletion (see below).

7) Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No system is 100% secure.

8) Your Rights

• Access, update, or correct your information.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Control notifications and optional permissions.

9) Data Deletion Requests

Email us at celikalpaslan@icloud.com with the subject “OLibrary Data Deletion” and your account email. We may ask for verification to protect your account.
